The final week of the Rocket League Championship Series’ ninth season concludes this weekend, and with playoff seeding and relegation on the line in both the North America and Europe regions, we’re due for an exciting slate of 10 matches.

In both competitions, NA and EU, the top six enter the Regional Championship with various distinctions (semifinal byes, Upper/Lower Bracket qualifications).

The remaining four teams battle for safety with the last-place team being relegated to the Rocket League Rival Series–the second-tier of professional Rocket League.

The eighth and ninth-place teams will be demoted to the Promotion Playoffs.

North American Teams

Atop the NA table is Spacestation Gaming (6-1) followed by Susquehanna Soniqs (6-2), NRG (6-2), G2 (5-2), Cloud9 (4-4), and Ghost Gaming (4-4).

Pittsburgh Knights (3-5), eUnited (2-6), Rogue (2-6), and Flight (1-7) sit outside the playoff picture.

European Teams

In Europe, Renault Vitality and Dignitas are both 7-1 but the former enters Week 8 in first place with a better win percentage.

FC Barcelona (5-2), Veloce (5-3), Team Reciprocity (5-3), and mousesports (4-3) round out the Regional Championship contingent.

Team Singularity (3-5), Endpoint (2-6), Team SoloMid (1-7), and AS Monaco (0-8) remain on the periphery.

Despite being favorites against second-place Susquehanna, G2 are slim underdogs in their second match of the day.

Current table-leaders Spacestation, who are in-form and have won five-straight matches, are in a great position to not only earn a semifinal bye on Saturday, but also claim a regular-season title.

Bovada has Spacestation as favorites and for good reason: G2 were probably playing over their heads early on and are finally coming down to earth. Spacestation in four.

Pittsburgh Knights (2.50) vs. Cloud9 (1.513)

If Pittsburgh Knights–the only NA team on the outside with a shot at a Regional Championship qualification–are to have any shot at postseason play, they must defeat fifth-place Cloud 9 on Saturday.

Additionally, it would take a sweep on their part and an NRG sweep of Ghost. A long shot, yes, but you can be sure the Knights will bring it.

Their opponents are coming off three-straight victories over NRG (3-0), Susquehanna (3-2), and Ghost (3-0) and appear to have found their form at the right time.

The Knights have a lot to play for but this has been a profoundly disappointing season for them. It ends with a 3-1 loss to C9 and a guaranteed spot in RLCS Season 10.

FC Barcelona (1.645) Vs. mousesports (2.20)

An eventful week for mouseports wraps with an important match vs. FC Barcelona.

Just days after the org announced that offseason signing Scrub Killa was departing the team, mousesports will have the opportunity to catapult themselves into contention for a spot in the Regional Championship Upper Bracket.

The team’s sub, Arju, will enter the fray with no RLCS or RLRS experience, further feeding the uncertainty surrounding the team.

Barca are formidable opponents and perennial contenders with a lot to play for. Barca will win their second match of the day (3-0).

Renault Vitality (1.417) Vs. Veloce (2.80)

Renault continue to be the class of Europe and sit atop the standings with a 7-1 mark.

After a run to the World Championship finals in Season 8, Renault affirmed their contender status in Season 9 without Scrub Killa, who left for mousesports.

Renault knocked off second-place Dignitas 3-2 in Week 6 before topping mouse 3-1 in Week 7 and hope to end the regular season with a statement win over a quality Veloce squad.

A likely loss for Veloce drops them out of contention for an Upper Bracket qualification, giving Reciprocity and mousesports room to move up in the standings.

Vitality makes it looks fairly easy in a 3-1 win.
